What I Eat In A Day

One of my most FAQ's is: "What do you eat in a day?"


I am all about eating to fuel your body, taking care of yourself, being kind to yourself, and having a well balanced diet. It's also important to remember that balance is everything. I used to really struggle with being too restrictive and obsessively counting calories.


I focus now on just eating what makes my body feel the best, and the most energized. I've found so much freedom in living this way and eating intuitively, while also still having treats and pizza as I want. It's all about balance. I take an 80/20 approach--80% whole foods that nourish me, and 20% fun things (ex: pizza, ice cream, etc).

When I'm planning my meals for the day, whole foods like fruits and vegetables, and less processed things is key--the less ingredients the better. I try to make my plates colorful and my ingredients simple.


When making this post, I simply ate what I normally do in a day--and photographed it as I went along. I hope this helps to give you some ideas!


Here is what I eat in a day:


Breakfast

Green Juice:

I like to consume a very nutrient dense thing first in the morning--I find that this helps to give me the most energy, while also filling me with vitamins and minerals that I need to go throughout my day.


I love this juice because it fills me with veggies. It is really effective at combatting bloating, and giving you healthy, glowing skin.



Avocado Toast:

Dave's Killer Bread, 1/2 an avocado, and 2 scrambled eggs.


Berries:

I loveeeee berries. I usually start my day with a serving of strawberries and blueberries.




Snack


Oatmeal:

Rolled oats, almond milk, blueberries, cinnamon, and PB2 powder.

Cinnamon Apple Chips:

These are my FAVORITE snack! I get mine from Lidl. They're just freeze dried apples sprinkled with cinnamon.


Oikos Yogurt with Berries:

This is my favorite yogurt! It tastes great, has a lot of protein & not much added sugar.




Lunch

Taco Salad:

Ground turkey, spinach, and fresh pico de gallo.


If your work day looks as crazy as mine does, you probably (like me!) don't have much time to cook lunch. This meal is so simple and easy: just cook up some ground turkey and throw it onto a bed of spinach, and add fresh pico on top! Easy peasy!


La Croix:

I started drinking these when I did Whole 30 (I would **NOT** recommend Whole 30 to ANY of you! I have very strong thoughts on this.)


However, I love these for the taste, and they're a great thing to have when you're wanting a "I'm not hungry I'm bored" snack.




Dinner

Garlic Butter Chicken Thighs:

With whatever we have for dinner, we try to do a "veggies most" rule--where vegetables is what takes up 50% or the majority of our plate!
